On Saturday, August 10, before the Obon vacation, GLI Harumi SchoolSummer Movie Night<\/mark><\/strong>was held! (*Photographs were taken before the event)<\/p>\n\n\n

For this event,By watching everyone's favorite movies in English, I was able to deepen my knowledge of English and make new friends.<\/mark><\/strong>The movie is everyone's favorite.Harry Potter: The Philosopher's Stone.<\/mark><\/strong>It was.<\/p>\n\n\n

We had 12 participants this time, and after we all gathered, we started withTime to meet and mingle with interns from Hong Kong, England and Singapore<\/strong>has begun.<\/p>\n\n\n

We warmed up in a circle and enjoyed playing a game where we learned each other's names and got to know each other better. Then, since almost everyone had seen Harry Potter, we talked briefly about our favorite and least favorite characters and about scenes that made a deep impression on us.<\/p>\n\n\n

Afterwards, everyone received popcorn, oolong tea and other snacks and drinks, and finally the screening began.<\/p>\n\n\n

Although some of the participants were students with a considerable level of English, many of them were watching a movie in English for the first time. This time, the movies were also subtitled in English,While enjoying the English version of Harry Potter, I was exposed to real English and learned lots of new words and expressions.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the film was over, participants responded to the questions on the worksheet they were given when they entered,Review of the film and common expressions<\/strong>The first time I did it, I was able to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a review, the interns played the scene in question and explained what they did not understand. At the end of the session, we talked again in English about our favorite scenes, scary scenes, and memorable characters, and had a great time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am sure we will be holding more fun events like this one in the future, so please look forward to them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
