I should have smiled more myself!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>'Next time you come over, I'd love to play a game with you!'<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The kids at the Bailungal School are amazing, they are giving their opinions more and more without being nominated!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also talked about how they felt about the atmosphere, which was completely different from that of Japanese schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Day2%E3%83%BB%E7%8C%BF%E5%B3%B6%E6%8E%A2%E6%A4%9C\"><\/span>Day 2: Explore Monkey Island<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gli.kukan-kobo.co.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_8149-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8804\" style=\"aspect-ratio:4\/3;object-fit:contain\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The second day was a 10-minute ferry ride from Yokosuka's Mikasa Terminal to an uninhabited island,<strong>Monkey Island<\/strong>To!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mere sound of \"deserted island\" was enough to get the children excited. They were excited from the moment they boarded the ferry and asked questions to the guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gli.kukan-kobo.co.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_8138-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8805\" style=\"aspect-ratio:4\/3;object-fit:contain\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival at Sarushima, we took a tour and listened to the guide talk about the history of Sarushima and the island's flora and fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of the expedition on Monkey Island is to \"be able to tell someone about the charms of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can express what you know and like in your own words and communicate it to others, much more communication will occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this in mind, I joined the guided tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gli.kukan-kobo.co.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_8165-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8810\" style=\"aspect-ratio:4\/3;object-fit:contain\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarushima is popular for its scenery that looks like something out of a Ghibli movie, but everyone listened intently to the stories about the history of the war and the buildings on the island that tell the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the stories of the guides, I was able to find many fascinating and wondrous things about the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gli.kukan-kobo.co.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_8194-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8811\" style=\"aspect-ratio:4\/3;object-fit:contain\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gli.kukan-kobo.co.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/IMG_8231-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8812\" style=\"aspect-ratio:4\/3;object-fit:contain\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2%E6%97%A5%E9%96%93%E3%81%AE%E6%B4%BB%E5%8B%95%E3%82%92%E7%B5%82%E3%81%88%E3%81%A6\"><\/span>After 2 days of activities<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The experience at YBS was a good opportunity for the children to think about communication in their own way, even though they sometimes felt culture shock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I want to do this the next time I come here! I was happy to hear so many positive comments about how they would like to do this the next time they come back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sarushima, they were able to stimulate their curiosity by learning about things they had never known before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, although it was only for two days, we saw many scenes of cooperation and care for others in the group life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> I hope that you will gain not only English skills, but also some insights from these two days of experience, and have the desire to take new action, no matter how small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E4%BF%9D%E8%AD%B7%E8%80%85%E6%A7%98%E3%81%AE%E5%A3%B0\"><\/span>Parents' Voices<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We received feedback from the parents of the participants regarding this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was anxious to see what the children felt about their first experience with a bilingual school, staying overnight, etc., but everyone said, \"I want to participate again! I am very happy to hear that they are willing to grow and develop for the next time! She also liked the friendly and free atmosphere of YBS and the egg activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a valuable experience for me to go on a field trip in addition to my experience at an international school, which is not easy to get into. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The experience was valuable because I could easily participate in it over the weekend. It was a good opportunity to use the English I usually study in the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was able to participate in the program without any anxiety because of the pre-study and the team building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After returning home, he told me first thing out of the blue that he had a good time before I even asked him about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The one-day study abroad experience was a small success in that I was able to experience the atmosphere in the school and also make friends. Thanks to the teachers, we had the opportunity to learn about the aftermath of the war on Monkey Island, and we were able to have an exploratory experience that will lead us to current news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I came home with a smile on my face, looking very satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The children went home and said they would like to participate again next time.
